This exhibition shows the diversity of ceramic skills in Knysna Plett area and takes place at the new Knysna Pottery House where there are many amazing mosaics and other projects on display. Dave Wells is perhaps the most well known potter and his high fired stoneware and porcelain oven-to-table casserole dishes, platters, jugs and vases, all beautiful quality ceramics.
Then there is a newcomer- Lucinda Mudge, fresh from the UK who has a small display of exquisite porcelain bowls and tiles.
Lisa Lieberman, Brenda Ellish, Craig Renwick, Marylou Newdigate and Macky Rixom's work is also on display- so there is plenty of variety. The Knysna Pottery House is a worthwhile destination for anyone interested in ceramics and mosaics as they stock small mosaic inserts, glassnuggets, first grade handmade tiles as well as 'reject tiles', bisqueware, clay, etc. Too much to mention. Its a perfect place for someone who wants to do a project but doesnt have studio space or their own kiln.
