Cast, Die-struck or Hand made Jewellery: what is the difference

Contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of Jewellery is not "one of a kind." Today's fine Jewellery is usually machine-processed in some way. Modern methods have eliminated much of the time-consuming handwork, making fine Jewellery accessible to more people.

SOME FACTS ABOUT GOLD

Gold has fascinated mankind right from the ancient civilizations till today. The Incas called gold “the tears of the Sun” whereas the Aztecs called it “the excrement of the Gods”! Though people collect gold for its value, most gold is found in the form of ornaments.

The chemical symbol for gold is Au, from the Latin aurum, which means 'shining dawn'. Aurora was the Roman goddess of dawn which links to the warm, yellow colour of gold. Gold and Copper are the only two non white coloured metals.
