Scammers are taking advantage of vulnerable people in our community due to the decreasing amount of properties to let. There are multiple scammers that are taking existing for-sale properties and posting them as a rental listing. They ask you to wire a deposit up front to rent the property(usually via easy pay points to avoid banking details). Do not send money to anyone advertising rental properties online until you are certain the advertiser is genuine and have agreed to meet you personally. Do not pay any money until you or a reliable contact has visited the property with an agent or the landlord.
