Most perspective CPL’s elect to train towards their instrument rating at the same time as they are conducting their commercial training and in some cases elect to do so, on multi-engine aircraft. This more advanced and detailed qualification opens up far more employment opportunities to newly qualified pilots as well as makes them safer and more proficient in conducting the duties expected of them in the commercial sector of the industry.

The training consists of a minimum of 40 hours dual instrument flight instruction of which up to 20 hours may be accredited on our approved Flight Simulation Training Device or flight simulator. Most candidates then elect to tie into their final commercial flight tests, an instrument segment, and complete the flight test then with the appropriate additional qualification.
